Just yesterday my teacher talked about “What if…” She talked about all the different “What ifs…” that change the story if you were to add it. Like If you had a story about a girl who had a really bad day at school and things that happened wouldn’t really happen in real life like a janitor stealing your wallet. You could add a “What if…” and make it so it was all a dream and then in her dream she had a really bad day and then once she woke up and went to school she had an okay day nothing like what happened in her dream.

I’m talking about this because I think it’s an interesting element of writing and life. If you were to think outside of the box and think “What if…” in your life then it could totally change your life and you could have your dreams come true. Like if you are going to try and start a franchise of restaurants and you always thought things had to be done a certain way like alway open at 7:30 and close at 5:45 each and every day then people may not come as often because of your hours of operation. If you thought “What if…” and changed your hours of operations you could get alot more costumers and finally open up that next restaurant you need for your franchise.

So say “What if…” or “Why not?” It could change your life and your story or your main idea.

The little grade one found her classroom after lunch, she still hadn’t been able to find Miso her hamster. She was scared for Miso she was going to have some baby hamsters and her mom would be mad if Miso didn’t return home.
After lunch Sara and Maclean walked into the washroom and found a small hamster, the hamster looked like it was in pain. “Oh, look Maclean a hamster. And it looks like it was hurt!” “We should probably leave it alone, it could have rabies.” Maclean walked away but Sara stayed there and watched the hamster it seemed to be slowly walking towards her. “Hi little guy.” she said knelling down to try and calm down the hamster, she looked scared. Sara picked up the hamster to see if it was a girl or not. She was very careful so as not to hurt the small hamster. She had expected the hamster to try and run away but the hamster actually ran faster when she saw that Sara wanted to pick her up. She picked up the hamster and decided to take it to the office she thought that someone was missing this cute little gal.
When she arrived at the office she decided to speak to Mrs. Usta. “Hi, um I found this hamster in the washroom. She looks familiar but she’s not mine.” “Okay I’ll make an announcement.” Sara looked around while Mrs. Usta pressed several buttons. “Hello, may I please have your attention. We have found a small cream coloured hamster, if you lost a hamster in the last few days please come down to the office and claim her, Thank you.” Sara looked at the door for a few seconds and was pleased to see a few people come to the office looking at the hamster, actually it looked like a whole class. “Oh no…” thought Sara “there will be lots of upset children.” “It’s my hamster.” said a small voice. When Sara looked it was a small Grade 1 who looked very relieved to see that the hamster was okay. “Her name is Miso.” said the small girl. “Hi, what’s your name, mine is Sarah.” “Me too, my name is Sarah too.” “Well…” said Mrs. Usta “is it your hamster or not?” “Yes.” said the small Sarah. And then the whole class went but small Sarah stayed and stared at the older Sarah. “Is, Something wrong?” “No, you just look REALLY famillar.” “Oh, well if you don’t mind I have to get back to class.” They think that was the last time they will ever see each other, was it.

Maclean led Sara into the girl’s washroom, and she took Sara into the 5^th stall. “I think I was the first person to see this! I tried to cover it up but the stall wall was impossible with me, I’m sorry!” When Sara looked she saw in huge writing: “Sara loves Colin!!!” Sara almost started crying, the only person Sara told about her crush was Maclean at her house on a late Saturday night. “How did that get there?” Sara asked tears in her eyes. “I think it was Eden Encott, you know the bully in 10^th grade.” Maclean replied sadly. Sara started to cry and then Maclean wrapped her in a hug. “It’ll be alright.” Maclean said as she gave Sara an air kiss on her check, Sara had always thought they were stupid and whenever anyone did it she started laughing, sure enough Sara looked up and started laughing. Then they  left the washroom because the bell had just rung. As they walked out, Eden Encott walked by. “Something wrong?” she asked as sincerely as she could. Then her so called ‘Posse’ snickered. “No, Eden nothing wrong.” replied Sara as strong as she could be when her secret had just been told to ALL of the girls at school.

 Then they hurried to French class. Sadly, for Sara Colin was in that class with her. Sara got about 15 kissy faces from the girls in her class. When class was over Sara and Maclean were heading to the table they always sat at as they walked they started talking, “ Do you know how many kissy faces I got from everyone, I counted about 15 or 16 kissy faces, do you believe that!” “Sour Eden, just because she’s popular doesn’t mean that she can hurt other people because she can’t be hurt by anyone spilling any of her secrets because she can just say ‘Oh sorry you must be mistaken!’ in her horrible snarky voice.” At that time they were just arriving at the cafeteria and Eden was sitting at their ‘So called’ table. When they walked up Maclean decided to talk first. “Can you guys move please we were going to sit here!” “Sorry, darl but next time get out of class faster if you want a certain table. Oh, and we aren’t moving.” Replied Eden. “Then we are sitting with you!” Maclean replied in same tone Eden had used, snobby and snarky with a touch of sincerity. “Maclean we really shouldn’t!” Sara whispered. “Yeah listen to your wimpy little emotionless friend!” Eden posse snickered. “You know what after that, move over Maclean, I’m sitting here too!” Eden looked so surprised Sara thought that they might actually move, but no they stayed. “Lola get out a notepad, and write every single word they say down we will be doing some research, and not on our history project!” Eden posse member Lola pulled out a notepad and a pencil. And got ready to write. Maclean walked away but Sara stayed there quietly chewing on her sandwich. Maclean looked shocked she thought that Sara would have been the first one out of that table.  Halfway through lunch Eden and Lola and Sidney all left to their regular table.

   As Mr. Matusie was thinking the Police Officer called for “Back-Up.” He was about to walk out but Mr. Matusie asked “Where are you going?” The Police Officer replied in a stern voice. “I have to inspect the halls and see if anyone is wandering.” So off he went into the hall. But before he could get to the washroom he saw a kid! He walked up and said “I’m here to help you okay?” The little girl started to run but she was stopped by another Police Officer. She ran into the “Teachers” washroom. Officer Peter called for his assistant Officer Samantha. She came a few minutes later and said “What’s the problem?” Officer Peter pointed to the “Teachers” washroom it had a sign “Women ONLY!!!” She entered silently and looked for a locked stall. The 5^th stall was closed but not locked. She pushed open the stall door and found a little girl & a hamster. The girl wanted to run you could tell, she was shaking. The hamster got scared and ran away. The little girl screamed “COME BACK MISO” Officer Samantha asked the girl “My name is Samantha, what is your name?” The Girl replied “My name is Sarah Jiu. And I’m in grade 1. And I’m scared.

After lunch Mme Rosetto called Sara over. “You didn’t do well on the test you only 52% on the verb test. You can improve your grade by helping me out with my younger students.”  Sara was confused she studied very hard and thought she had done well. Maclean came and asked what was up. Sara was staring into space.  “Are you alright?” asked Maclean. “I’m okay, I guess I’m just confused!” Maclean took Sara by the arm.

The story unfortunatly is not finished and it will be published once the book has been completed! There will also will not be 15 parts as it would take me another month to finish and I work on it every other day. While you were waiting I have written a new book (for my fans to read!) It will be published in the next 2 -3 days!!!

“It’s ok I only needed 1 pack.” Replied her lifeless mother.

After dinner Sammie went up to her room and got ready for bed. The next morning her dad gave her oatmeal for breakfast, he knew that Sammie hated oatmeal.

“Why did you give me oatmeal? You know I HATE oatmeal.”

Her dad kept cleaning the counter. Sammie went to her mom’s study. Her mom was working on the computer. Sammie tapped her mom on the shoulder. Her mom kept working.

“Please talk to me I won’t do anything until you talk to me. “

“Then you will have to wait for a while.”

“Ha, you talked to me. Now I can do things.”

“Like go to school.”

Sammie took the hint and headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth. Her dad called her down to leave for school. Sammie ran downstairs. She knew that she was already late. Her stuff was on within a couple minutes. Her dad was different. He was moving at speed 0. Her fringe pants weren’t on but the bad luck continued. Her mom came at lunch to give her the letter that says to go home early. She didn’t want to go home early. So she could her favourite movie, so she ripped up the note….

“Again with the everything disappearing.”

She did nothing, just stood there. After couple minutes she was rammed with a shopping cart. “OOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

She felt like a shopping cart container. You know when they push the cart hard without walking to the end, it felt like that but worse.  After she could see things again she found a person who worked there.

Sammie asked if they had any grapes, she got 1 bag of grapes. Sammie went to the Cash Register line up. The grapes were $10. She didn’t have enough. She couldn’t  buy 1 pack. But, her mom needed  at least 1 pack.

“Oh, shoot I was supposed to get at least 1 pack, now I can’t!”

The cash register lady said “You can buy bulk grapes – they are the same amount for less!”

She ran to the bulk section. She found the grapes. She filled a bag. She had lost her spot in line so she had to wait. When she was next in line she put her grapes on the counter.  

After she paid she started on her walk home. It was dark out. When she was on her street she saw her dad’s car. She knew she was in trouble. When she got inside the house she was ready for lots of yelling.

When she walked in nothing happened. Her parents were sitting at the dinner table. When she sat down and said that she only bought 1 pack of grapes. She was ready to plug her ears. But her mom just sat there….

The teacher asked her to go to the Principal’s Office.

“Why?”

“What did you say Sammie?”

“I said why.”

“Just go before I change my mind to something worse!” Sammie left right away. She ran down the hall, but she didn’t have a “Hall Pass” so the librarian sent to the Vice principals office, “I was already going to the office.”

She was called into the Vice principals. She said that Sammie  was expelled for 2 weeks. “You can stay for the day then you must leave.” Sammie went back to class. When she got there her desk had disappeared and the students and the teacher, it was as if she was in a totally different world. She looked for the PDA button to call the office to announce that the class had disappeared. When she found it she pushed it, nothing. She tried again, nothing. “One more time!” She pressed 1 last time. She heard a noise like when the smoke alarm goes off. She hit the button to try to stop the unbearable sound. It kept going. “What should I do!!?”

The next thing she heard was the voice of her teacher yelling “What are you doing? The screaming, the yelling the PDA, you are leaving right now, HOME!!” She started packing up her stuff. 5 minutes later she was out the door walking home.

She knew her mom would be SO mad. She was really upset that she was expelled. So on her way home she stopped for Ice Cream. She thought that might keep her mom from being suspicious. She got a Cookies’ and Cream 3 scoop cone. It was $3 she paid and sat down on one of the booths. After 40 minutes she knew it was time to go home. She was sure her mom would not be suspicious since she was going to be home at regular time. When she got home her mom asked “How was your day?” “Fine.”

Sammie was almost in her room when her mom asked her to go the Supermarket and buy some grapes for dessert. Sammie asked for the money to get it. Her mom replied “You got your allowance  yesterday. That’s enough to buy a pack of grapes.”

“Well, what if I spent it already.” Her mom pulled out $5 and passed the money to Sammie.

“What did you spend it on?”

“What on what?”

“What did you buy with your money?”

“Oh, just some food.”

“What kind of food?”

“Ice cream.” Her mom yelled at her. Sammie just left the house and started to the Supermarket it was a long walk. When she got there they had no grapes. “Just my luck! This is the worst day ever!” She looked around…..
